***4th of July***
We had a great day yesterday. In the morning we went to a parade in Ft. Madison with my mom, sister, and niece. The kids were dressed in their 4th of July outfits and looked incredibly cute. Micah didn't take his eyes off of the parade the entire time and waved his little flag the whole time too. He didn't want it to end!
After the parade we had lunch at my mom's house and the kids played outside. We came home and Micah took his nap and played some more. We went on a walk and then it was time to head to Donnellson for the 4th of July parade there. Micah waved to everyone and said "Hi", waved his flag and picked up TONS of candy!! He even got a giant freezer pop which really made his day.
At 9pm we walked down the street to watch the fireworks. We didn't know how Micah would do because he doesn't normally do well with loud noises. We tried to prepare him all day by telling him about the fireworks that we were going to see that night. Well, he LOVED them! As soon as the first one went off he pointed to the sky and yelled "BUBBLE!!" The fireworks lasted about 45 minutes and the whole time he was pointing upward yelling "The bubbles, the bubbles!" I have no idea why he decided to call them bubbles, but it sure was cute and everyone sitting around us got a kick out of it.
